You would think after already experiencing the last two weeks of school once before it would get easier, but I can tell you one thing. Undergraduate early childhood programs across the country are failing to prepare us for the worst. And the last two weeks of school are the worst! Fifth grade play, graduation, a luau, preparing for CRCT re-takes. Somebody shoot me please! My kids are overwhelmed, and I know my stress level is through the roof. My classroom is not the happy home it once was. I want to enjoy my students, not consider flying to the moon to avoid them. The hint of a ray of sun through my classroom window sends me daydreaming to the Bahamas or Miami instantly. How do you all handle the last weeks of school?
